Housing Development Programme

To increase the supply of new homes in the Borough, the Council is directly delivering schemes on Council-owned land.

Ilford - Clements Road

The proposal is for a new residential development of 94 homes at the former council offices, 17-23 and 22-26 Clements Road. A planning application was submitted in autumn 2019 and resolution to grant consent was given in June 2020.  Work is expected to start on site in spring 2023 with the demolition of the existing buildings ahead of redevelopment that will run until winter 2025.

Loxford Lane

The Council is developing a residential scheme with a mix of flats and houses on the site at the corner of Loxford Lane and South Park Drive. Planning consent has now been granted for 159 new homes, along with landscaping and improvements to the culvert along South Park Drive. Our demolition contractor will be on site the week commencing 27th of February and construction works are expected to start by autumn 2023.  The scheme is expected to be completed in autumn 2025.

Seven Kings

The Council has been working on developing a mixed-use scheme on Seven Kings car park, with the goal to deliver an integrated Community/Health Hub and a Business Enterprise Hub, as well as 236 new homes. The Council has engaged a multi-disciplinary team of architects and other consultants to design the scheme.
