SEND Priority Action Plan published
Published: 11 November 2025
The London Borough of Redbridge and the NHS North London Integrated Care Board (ICB) have published the SEND local area partnership priority action plan.
The plan outlines the actions we will take to make the required improvements in response to Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission’s Inspection report of SEND Partnership services in May 2025.
Approved by the Department for Education (DfE) and National Health England (NHSE), the plan will focus on the transformation needed across areas of priority action and areas for improvement. You can read the Priority Action Plan on the Redbridge Local Offer website.
The Local Area SEND Partnership is committed to meeting the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and believes the plan we have in place will achieve the improvements required.
Our next steps are to work towards creating and co-producing a SEND and Alternative Provision (AP) strategy, which will give an opportunity for all stakeholders, especially young people and their families to contribute to our improvement journey.
The Redbridge Local Area Partnership comprises a range of organisations, with the London Borough of Redbridge and the NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) responsible for planning and commissioning relevant services to improve the lived experience of children and young people with SEND.
The Redbridge Priority Action Plan will be available in the following formats:
- Translated versions in Bengali, Gujarati, Romanian, Tamil, Urdu, Punjabi, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, and Polish
- An Easy Read version
