May Redbridge Wall of Shame: Help us find the grime crime offenders caught on camera spoiling our borough

Published: 22 May 2025

We are working closely with our local communities to track down the culprits behind the fly-tips featured in our latest Redbridge Wall of Shame. Please get in touch with us if you can help identify them.

Among the shameless fly-tippers caught on camera ditching their trash and disrespecting our borough was a buggy dumper, a group who tipped out waste from a wheelie bin, and a TV tossing duo.

Head to Redbridge Wall of Shame to view the footage: https://wallofshame.redbridge.gov.uk/

If you can help identify any of the culprits in the six clips please contact Redbridge Council on: Cleansing.Services@redbridge.gov.uk

Last year Redbridge Council cleared 21,161 fly-tips in the borough. Redbridge’s Street Cleansing Team also removed 4620 tonnes of waste from the street, which included street litter and fly-tips – that’s the equivalent weight of around 355 London Routemaster double-decker buses.

We need to work together as community to keep our borough clean and tidy and that means we each take responsibility for the rubbish we produce.

Fly-tipping has a big, negative impact on the whole community:

  • It costs the council to clear fly-tips - money that could have been spent on vital services such as education, and housing.
  • It causes an obstruction making it difficult for people to use the street, especially so for wheelchair users, the visually impaired, or parents with prams and young children.
  • It leaves neighbourhoods looking messy and undesirable to live in.
  • It attracts vermin such as mice and rats to the area.

If you spot a fly-tip in the borough you can easily report it online through the council’s Report It page:  https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/report-it/

Alternatively, use Redbridge Council’s Love Clean Streets app, to help make reporting local street scene issues even easier.  Report fly-tips, missed bin collections, potholes and more at the touch of a button. Find out more: https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/report-it/love-clean-streets/

All fly tips made known to the council are recorded and investigated, with enforcement action being taken if evidence is found. The council aims to clear all recorded fly-tips on council land and the highway within 24 hours of it being reported. You can also submit evidence of perpetrators or their vehicles on our Report It page which will aid enforcement investigations.
