Review your housing register decision

You can ask us to review your housing register (waiting list) application if you:

  • have not been allowed to join or stay on the waiting list
  • think you are in the wrong priority band
  • disagree with who can be included on your application
  • think you are eligible to bid for a bigger property

How to ask for a review

You must ask for the review within 21 days of getting our decision letter about your waiting list application.

Read the relevant section of the Council’s Housing Allocation Policy (PDF 330KB) if you think our decision is wrong:

  • who can and cannot join the waiting list - sections 4a, 4b and 4c
  • how we decide the priority banding - section 5c
  • who you can include on your housing application - section 4d
  • what size property you can bid for - section 7

Email the Housing Reviews team about how you think our decision is wrong according to the Housing Allocation Policy. Include any information or documents in your email to support your case.

We will:

  • look at your application again
  • aim to let you know of our decision within 8 weeks – we will let you know if this will take longer
