Coronavirus: service update – there have been some changes to our services due to the coronavirus pandemic. Our venues are closed and all our activities are now taking place online. Connexions advisers are providing their services by phone. Please call them on 020 8708 2600 .

To attend any of our activities below you must be registered with us. If you haven't completed it before please complete our youth services registration form.
March 2021
Throughout January and February we offered an exciting range of online sessions for young people. Some of them were to help young people develop practical skills such as how to take good pictures with your mobile phone and an introduction to First Aid while others were to support young people with their mental health by offering hints and tips on self care and also ways to stay positive. We are currently developing some new and exciting sessions for you to get involved with. Details of these are coming soon!

This session is open to all young people in Redbridge. If you like to spend your time learning new skills and are passionate about making a positive change in Redbridge please come along. We always love to see new faces. For more details contact Raina Gee

Other ways to get involved
There are many venues across Redbridge open for young people aged from 7 to 19 years to visit.
Get involved in sport activities, including boxing, basketball and table tennis or visit a gaming zone. Our youth club also provides additional support with homework as well as advice and guidance.
Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh's award, also known as DofE, is a life-changing adventure you don’t want to miss.
It’s about going the extra mile! Learning new skills for work and life, getting fitter, making a difference and broadening your horizons. The coronavirus doesn’t mean your DofE needs to stop – far from it. You can start your volunteering, physical and skills sections from home or remotely using the DofE website.
There are various levels of programme which when completed lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold DofE Award, check our DofE page for more information and information on how to enrol.
Detached Team
We work with you, the young people of Redbridge on the streets, estates and parks, who are not accessing existing youth services in Redbridge. Email Youth Service for more information.
Hainault Youth Centre
We offer a wide range of activities including:
- two after school clubs - activities include arts and crafts, music DJing, sports, cooking and workshops
- holiday activities, including day trips
- DJ, MC and Music Tech come and learn to DJ and produce your own tunes with the latest software
- information, advice and guidance (including Young People friendly)
- C Card distribution point
- chlamydia screening and pregnancy testing
Membership is £4 a term.

Young people hub
Currently closed
A free hub for young people aged from 11 to 16, which promotes positive activities for girls and boys.
Offers a wide range of activities, including table tennis, snooker, gaming, and sports such as kickboxing, football, and basketball. Role models and mentors support each activity and every young person who attends can also enjoy a free hot meal, drink and dessert.
Each session will provide competition prize giveaways, with the opportunity for young people to win vouchers to a wide range of retailers including Amazon, Nando’s and JD Sports.
Open every Monday and Wednesday between 4.30pm and 9pm at RAP, Starch House Lane, Barkingside, IG6 1PU.

Box up

Box-up is an award-winning organisation which provide free boxing sessions to young people aged 7 to 19 years, focusing on boxing technique, fitness and discipline, in a fun and relaxed space. We also have a team of positive role models that are willing to listen to and support you.
