The Redbridge Youth Service (RYS) aims to give you opportunities and experiences that will help you to develop skills, make friends and create long and lasting memories. We hope you will come and join us for fun, a chance to develop some new skills and an opportunity to make new friends.

To attend any of our activities below, you must be registered with us. If you haven't completed it before, complete our youth services registration form. You need to use your personal email address, not your school one.

Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme at Hainault Youth Centre

Tuesday 21st July - Thursday 27th August

Whether you are applying through HAF or not, all young people are welcome to join our sessions below. Come and join us to make friends and get involved in a range of informal educational activities for 11-18 year olds.

Healthy eating workshops, cooking skills, basketball, badminton, foosball, pool, table tennis, arts and crafts and tournaments are all available.  All new members to Redbridge Youth Service must sign up to attend. If you are in receipt of benefit related free school meals, you will also need to sign up through HAF

Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme at Loxford Youth Centre

Our Summer Programme at Loxford Youth Centre will run from 21st July - 13th August, offering a range of engaging activities for young people aged 11-18.  

Our HAF programme will run from 28th July, supporting eligible young people alongside our wider open-access provision. 

Sessions will take place Tuesday to Thursday, 11am - 3pm, and will include a mix of sports, creative activities, games and trips, providing young people with a safe and enjoyable space to socialise, build confidence and try new experiences. 

All new members to Redbridge Youth Service must sign up to attend. If you are in receipt of benefit related free school meals, you will also need to sign up through HAF

Monday

From 5pm to 6:45 - Redbridge Youth Council Meeting at Redbridge Town Hall (For young people aged 11 to 18 years)

This weekly session is open to all young people in Redbridge. If you like to spend your time learning new skills and are passionate about making a positive change in Redbridge please join us. For more details contact Redbridge Youth Council

From 5pm to 7:30pm - Duke of Edinburgh's Award Support Session at Hainault Youth Centre

This session is for young people to have their DofE induction, collect their certificates or to get face to face DofE support.  For more information and to book an appointment please contact Annabelle Pichard

From 6.15pm to 8.30pm - Monday Night Youth Club at Hainault Youth Centre (For young people aged 13 to 24 years with additional needs)

This session is for young people with additional needs aged 13 to 24. We offer a safe and friendly environment, helping to build confidence and develop social skills through supportive and creative activities.  For more details contact Jan Booth

Duke of Edinburgh's Award (For young people aged 13 to 24 years)

The Duke of Edinburgh's award, also known as DofE, is a life-changing adventure you don’t want to miss. 

It’s about going the extra mile! Learning new skills for work and life, getting fitter, making a difference and broadening your horizons. For ideas and inspiration look at the DofE pages. 

There are various levels of programme which when completed lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold DofE Award, check our DofE page for more information and information on how to enrol.

Detached Team

We work with you, the young people of Redbridge on the streets, estates and parks, who are not accessing existing youth services in Redbridge. Email Youth Service for more information.

Other ways to get involved

There are many venues across Redbridge open for young people aged from 7 to 19 years to visit.

Get involved in sport activities, including boxing, basketball and table tennis.

Our youth club at Hainault Youth Centre not only provides workshops and sessions, but also provides additional support with homework as well as advice and guidance.

Vision provide many activities and services for young people. Their programme includes sessions on the following: arts and crafts, dance, drama, and roller skating, amongst other things. Have a look and see what interests you!

ELOP provides a range of social activities for young people in the LGBTQ+ community.  Activities include mentoring, youth clubs and more.

  • Youth Groups for 12-15's
  • Youth Groups for 15-18's
  • Free 1-2-1 online mentoring.  You can refer yourself or another young person

Get involved with the Children's Commissioner and have your say!

The Children's Commissioner wants to hear from all children and young people in England.  She wants to know what it’s like to be a child or young person in England today. You can share your views by completing her survey called The Big Future by 23 October 2026. Any  personal information will be kept private and you don't have to answer any questions you don't want to.  Your views will be passed on to the Government, to help them make life better for children.

Loxford Youth Centre

Welcome to Loxford Youth Centre!  We are currently open Tuesdays and Thursdays 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
Multi, Use, Games, Area, MUGA, Loxford, Youth, Centre

We offer a targeted range of activities for 11 to 18-year-olds.

Over the next few weeks, we have projects targeted to young people including:

Homework club
This is an opportunity for young people to have time as well as resources to catch up on any homework/revision after school.

Music production
Young people learning how to write their own music, help structure music they have already written, recording vocals, and mixing and mastering their music to a professional industry standard.
With a studio engineer who has over 23 years’ experience with music production and engineering and has worked with a few known artists in the music industry.

Cooking
Young people will learn about food safety and hygiene as well as learning how to prepare a variety of meals for themselves and others. Young people will learn about the benefits of healthy eating as well as cooking on a budget.

Sports activities
Young people will participate in various sports activities to develop teamwork and leadership skills as well as keeping fit.
