The Annual Canvass
Each year the Electoral Registration Officer must conduct an annual canvass to ensure the electoral register is accurate and complete.
All households in Redbridge will receive a letter from the council asking residents to check that the electoral register information for their address is correct. The letter will list those who are currently registered to vote so you can check that we have the correct details for your address.
All the details are correct, what do I need to do?
Please read the form carefully and take action as requested. You may need to respond even if all the information on the letter is correct.
The details are incomplete or need amending, what do I need to do?
Please make any amendments using the online form by entering the security codes provided on the letter.
I am currently registered to vote but would like to do this remotely in future, instead of at a polling station. What do I need to do?
To apply to vote by post, download the form
If you do not have access to a printer you can email email@example.com providing your name and address so that we can post a form to you.
I'm listed on the form but my name has changed, what do I need to do?
If your name has changed, you can scan and email a copy of your change of name document, deed poll or marriage certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org
Registering to vote
Please note that the letters and canvass forms are not registration forms. Anyone added to the details pre-printed on your letter or form will also need to register individually online.
