Offer day

When is offer day  

Your offer is based on the address you used to apply. All schools in England send their offers on the same day. 

Secondary school and Year 7 (September 2026) 

 Offers on the evening of Monday 2 March 2026. 

Primary or junior school (September 2026) 

Offers on the evening of Thursday 16 April 2026. 

Getting an offer 

You’ll get an email on the evening of the offer day. This will be the highest‑ranked school on your list that can offer a place. 

If you have been offered your first choice of school, then all your other choices are removed from your application. 

Any schools you ranked lower will be removed. 

Your child will stay on the waiting lists for any schools you ranked higher.  

Accept your offer 

 You must accept your offer by Friday 13 March 2026 for secondary schools. 

You must accept your offer by Thursday 30 April 2026 for primary schools 

 If you do not accept it within two weeks of getting your offer, it will expire and could be offered to another child. 

 If your child is not offered a preferred school, they’ll remain on the waiting list for those schools. 

To accept your offer:  

  1. Sign into your eAdmissions account. This is the same one you used to apply. 

  1. Scroll down to ‘View outcome of application and respond’ 

  1. Select ‘Accept the offer’ 

Change your school choices  

You should change your school choices by Friday 13 March for secondary schools and Thursday 30 April for primary schools

 If you want to change your school choices, you need to email the Admissions Team as soon as you can.  

 You need to include:  

  • your child’s full name 

  • your Application Reference Number. This is at the top of the email 

  • the new list of school, in the order you prefer

Appeal your offer 

You should accept your offer in case your appeal is not successful. Accepting the offer will not affect your appeal or any waiting list decisions
