Street parties

For street parties, we close off a road in order for residents to celebrate an event or have a community get together.

If you would like to host a street party you must complete an application form.  However, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Your street party must be on a road that is not a major traffic route or a bus route,  if you are unsure, please get in touch
  • You must get your application to us by the following deadlines

Deadlines for application submissions

If you aim to hold your street party between:

  • 1 March to 31 May the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 February
  • 1 June to 31 August the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 May
  • 1 September to 30 November the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 August
  • 1 December to 28 February the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 November

For example, if you want a street party on 15 August, you will need to let us know by 1 May.
