Free bike servicing 

 The free Dr Bike services run at the following markets have been cancelled due to COVID-19. We aim to run these events as soon as the guidance allows. 

Bike checks will be carried out by qualified Cycle Confident mechanics.

Government Fix Your Bike Scheme Vouchers

You can apply for the Government's Fix your Bike Voucher Scheme, which allows you to receive a voucher worth up to £50 to help towards the cost of repairing a bicycle.

Cycle mechanics qualification

Recycles Ilford  offers a formal Cycle Mechanics qualification in partnership with Redbridge Institute of Adult Education. This is the City and Guilds Level 2 Cycle Mechanic Course. View more information on training options. 

Bike recycling

You can purchase a quality, affordable, refurbished bike from Recycles, a bike recycling project run by the Salvation Army. Recycles is open for bike sales by appointment only, Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 4.30pm. To book an appointment, email

Donate your bike

You can donate your unwanted or out-grown bike at Recycles

Donated bikes are reconditioned and then sold to the public as affordable second-hand bikes with the money going directly back into the project.
