Community Hubs
Seven Kings Community Hub
We're creating an exciting new Community and Health Hub in Seven Kings. The Council has worked with over 2,000 local residents and stakeholders to develop a vision and plans for the hub, with facilities including:
- GP Surgery
- Children's Centre
- Seven Kings Library
- Multi-function, bookable rooms
- Co-working space
- Community kitchen and café
- Seven Kings Library
- Holistic health treatment rooms
- Several other council services including our social care team for the area
We are working hard to procure a developer partner who will build the Community and Health Hub as part of a larger mixed-use scheme, including new homes.
We will work closely with this developer to create a hub which reflects the contributions residents and stakeholders have made.
A concept design had been developed for the hub in 2023. However, a change to how the council will deliver the scheme, caused by today's challenging economic climate, means that some changes will need to be made in order to fit in with our development partner's vision for the overall scheme.
The Seven Kings community vision brings together the many contributions made by residents and stakeholders into one ambitious document for how local people want their community to grow. This is a key document which guides the Council's decision-making in seeking a partnership to create the Hub.
Other Community Hubs
Extensive work has taken place to understand the opportunity and need for other Community Hubs in Redbridge.
In Gants Hill, we have worked with residents, schools and local partner organisations to develop a vision for the future of these areas, identifying what people care about most and how we can work together to make it happen.

In Hainault, the Council produced a Stage 1 report which identifies a set of design principles produced by local residents, which will inform future plans for the site.

Currently, Gants Hill, Hainault and other hubs are paused due to the challenging economic climate.
