Design Review Panel
A Design Review Panel (DRP) provides independent, expert advice on the design quality of development proposals. During the pre‑application process, applicants are strongly encouraged to engage with a DRP to guide schemes and address key design issues early. The panel also comments on selected planning applications.
A DRP is made up of independent and experienced professionals who work a wide range of indivduals across the built environment sector. This panel has been run by Frame Projects in the past, but at present we cannot require that you use this panel. Advice from other panels could be used.
A DRP is funded independently of the council. Fees are paid directly to the panel provider.
Cost of meetings will vary per provider. Indicative costs are:
- full review: £5,985 + VAT
- intermediate Review: £4,375 + VAT
- chair’s review: £3,300 + VAT
When you apply for a pre-application advice service, you'll be assigned a Planning Officer. You'll need to contact them to discuss any DRP.
