Pension Increase Yearly Increase Table
The pension increase from 11 April 2022 is 3.1%
Your LGPS pension changes each April in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The percentage increase is set by HM Treasury under the Pension (Increase) act 1971 and is based on the CPI over the 12 months to the previous September. HM Treasury issue a Pension Increase (Review) Order confirming the percentage. The Council have no powers to increase pensions beyond HM Treasury orders.
the pensions increase is payable from the first Monday following the 6 April, if the 6th is not the the first Monday.
The change to your pension is detailed on your April payslip. It is posted to your home address at the end of April.
