Apply for visitor parking permits

Visitor parking permits let your visitors park they car or van in the controlled parking zone (CPZ) where you live.

You do not need a visitor parking permit for a motorcycle.

You can still buy visitor permits if you do not need a resident permit.

Your visitors will not be able to park in your parking zone until you receive the parking permits and this is displayed in the car.

Cost

Permits are sold in packs containing 10 daily permits. You can buy up to five packs within any rolling month.

Each pack costs £16.50.

Visitor permits do not expire. The book remains valid until all permits are used.

We don't give refunds on permits.

If you have a valid Blue Badge

Using visitor parking permits

Each visitor permit is valid for a single day. If your visitor stays for multiple days, you’ll need to change the permit daily. You cannot display more than one permit at a time.

You’ll need to display the permit in the windscreen of the vehicle. The permit needs to be scratched off to be valid.

Tradespeople

Tradespeople and deliveries will only need a permit if the vehicle stays in the parking area for longer than necessary to load, unload or deliver.

You’ll need to buy a visitor parking permit for tradespeople. Tradespeople cannot buy parking permits themselves.
