Redbridge launches Crime and Feeling of Safety Survey 2026
Published: 08 October 2026
Communities across Redbridge are being encouraged to share their views on crime and community safety as part of a new borough-wide survey.
The Crime and Feeling of Safety Survey 2026 will help build a clearer picture of how safe people feel in Redbridge and identify the issues that matter most to local communities.
The survey follows on from the Community Crime Commission undertaken in 2021 and will provide valuable insight into how perceptions of crime and safety have changed over the past five years. Open to anyone aged ten and over who lives, works or studies in the borough, the survey takes around ten minutes to complete. Participants will be asked about how safe they feel in their local area and town centres during the day and after dark, their experiences of crime, anti-social behaviour and harassment, and what action they believe would help make Redbridge safer.
Cllr Sunny Brar, Cabinet Member for Enforcement, Community Safety and Cohesion, said: "We want Redbridge to be a borough where everyone is safe and also feels safe and secure. Understanding the experiences and concerns of our communities is vital in helping us shape our approach to community safety."
"The feedback we receive through this survey will help us identify priorities, target resources where they are most needed and continue working closely with our partners to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their views."
The findings will be used by Redbridge Council to help shape future community safety priorities, initiatives and services across the borough.
The survey is open now and can be completed online
The survey closes on 1 December 2026.
