Redbridge Council’s flagship play centre, Mini Explorers, is celebrating its first birthday with a Halloween-themed party on Wednesday 29 October, and families across the borough are invited to join the fun.

The celebration will take place from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the council-owned venue, located next to Cranbrook Primary School in Ilford. Guests can enjoy a magical morning of Halloween and autumn-themed games, sensory activities, crafts, and seasonal treats—all designed to delight children and their grown-ups.

Louise Hodgson, Centre Manager, said: “Mini Explorers gives families a safe, affordable and enriching space to play and learn together. We’re thrilled to be celebrating our first birthday with the community that’s made it such a success — and we’ve got a magical morning planned for everyone who joins us.”

Cllr Kam Rai, Leader of Redbridge Council, said: "Mini Explorers is a shining example of how we’re investing in our children and their families. In just one year, it’s become a trusted and welcoming space where children can learn, play, and thrive. I’m proud of the team behind this success and delighted to see the community coming together to celebrate its first birthday."

Tickets are priced at £10 per child, with adults attending free. Bookings can be made via the Mini Explorers website (a £1.70 booking fee applies to online bookings), or families can walk in on the day.

With £8 per child per session (adults go free), an on-site café, and an inclusive ethos, Mini Explorers has attracted hundreds of families, childminders, and grandparents since opening.

Key Features:
