Israel attacks: Message from the Leader of Redbridge Council

The Leader of Redbridge Council, Cllr Jas Athwal said: "The horrific attacks in Israel are absolutely heartbreaking. My thoughts are with our Jewish neighbours in Redbridge, the wider Jewish community and everyone impacted by the terrible violence.
"I have assurances from the Metropolitan Police that increased patrols across London are being organised to provide a visible presence and reassurance to our communities.
"It is at times of greatest suffering that it is most important to stand with our neighbours and show our support. I know many of our neighbours in Redbridge have been directly impacted by the terrible events and they remain in my prayers.
"As a wider Redbridge community we remain united, as one, in the face of violence, hatred and aggression."
