Action on poaching incidents

Published: 04 November 2025 Trees in a forest

We are deeply upset by the recent reports of harm to wildlife in our parks and implore that it must stop. These acts are unacceptable and have no place in our borough. Our parks are home to deer, geese and other wildlife that deserve to be protected. We thank local people who’ve shared reports with the police. Please, above all, report anything you see, direct to the Met police. They cannot take reports from social media posts.

Vision, who manage our parks, and our partner, ParkGuard, have increased patrols and are working closely with the Council and MET Police to monitor the situation. We’re supporting police investigations and will seek prosecution against anyone found responsible. We’re committed to keeping our parks safe  for people and for the wildlife that lives there. If you have information which could help, then please contact the Police directly or report online at https://www.met.police.uk/report/
