Redbridge took centre stage at this year’s UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), one of the UK’s largest property, regeneration and investment conferences, bringing together more than 16,000 leaders from national and local government, and investors and developers from the built environment sector.

The council attended UKREiiF to proactively promote the borough’s growth and regeneration ambitions, attract investment, strengthen strategic partnerships and showcase the opportunities set out in the Invest Redbridge Prospectus.

The Redbridge delegation included Chief Executive Claire Hamilton, Executive Director of Place, Communities and Enterprise, Steve Moore, and senior regeneration officers from the council.

For Redbridge, UKREiiF provided an opportunity to:

  • Position the borough as a credible and ambitious place to invest
  • Promote the Invest Redbridge Prospectus and wider growth strategy
  • Build relationships with priority developers, investors and government partners
  • Gather intelligence on market conditions, viability, funding and delivery models
  • Showcase Redbridge’s regeneration opportunities, particularly in Ilford and along the route of the Elizabeth Line which runs through the borough

Cllr Kam Rai, Leader of Redbridge Council, said: “As London continues to grow eastwards, Redbridge represents one of the capital’s last major opportunities for large‑scale, high‑impact investment. With the Elizabeth Line fully operational and our position as one of London’s best‑connected boroughs strengthening, the conditions for long‑term, value‑driven investment have never been stronger.

“We’ve had hugely positive conversations at the conference, and we’re keen to start progressing those discussions with partners who share our ambition. Redbridge is open for business, and we’re ready to work with investors to deliver new homes, jobs and opportunities for our communities.”

Claire Hamilton, Chief Executive of Redbridge Council, said: “UKREiiF has been a fantastic opportunity to showcase the scale of Redbridge’s ambition and the momentum behind our regeneration plans. The interest we’ve received from investors and development partners demonstrates real confidence in the borough’s future. We’re excited to build on the conversations started here and continue driving forward a programme of growth.”

Next steps

Building on the momentum from UKREiiF, Redbridge will now progress a series of follow‑up meetings with developers, investors and strategic partners to explore opportunities discussed during the conference. Insights gathered at the event will also help refine the borough’s investment narrative and shape future engagement activity.

A key milestone in this ongoing programme will be the Redbridge Investor Forum in October 2026, which will bring together senior leaders from across the development and investment sectors to showcase the borough’s regeneration pipeline and deepen partnerships established at UKREiiF.
