
Leader of the Council statement regarding Air India crash

Cllr Kam Rai, Leader of the Council, says: "Our hearts go out to everyone affected, and we know that many of our colleagues and residents will be grieving today following this awful news.
"Whilst we await more details, I am aware of reports that a local person lost their life and family members of local people have also died. My thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of all those affected."

The High Commission of India in London is also offering support. Next of kin or relatives of any passengers on board can contact: 07768765035 for emergency visa assistance to travel to India if needed.
