Holiday Activities and Food Programme to run this Summer

Redbridge Council is providing a Holiday Activities and Food Programme to eligible children and young people during the forthcoming summer school holidays.

Each HAF location offers children and young people a range of activities from football and basketball to arts and crafts and drama. There is also an opportunity to learn about food and nutrition, meet new people, have fun, and make new friends.

The main sessions will take place from 10am to 2pm from Monday 25 July to Thursday 18 August 2022. 

Parents should register their interest no later than 11.59pm on Monday 11 July 2022. 

Eligible primary-age children will be able to attend one of the following sites: 

  • Barley Lane Primary School, Huxley Drive, Romford, RM6 4RJ
  • Coppice Primary School, Manford Way, Chigwell, IG7 4AL 
  • Cranbrook Primary School, The Drive, Ilford, IG1 3PS 
  • Fullwood Primary School, Burford Close, Barkingside, Ilford, IG6 1ER 
  • Highlands Primary School, Highlands Gardens, Ilford, IG1 3LE
  • Roding Primary School, Meadow Walk, Woodford, IG8 8NP
  • Uphall Primary School, Uphall Road, Ilford, IG1 2JD 
  • Woodlands Primary School, Loxford Lane, Ilford, IG1 2PY 

Secondary-age children will be able to attend one of the following sites: 

  • Loxford School, Loxford Lane, Ilford, IG1 2UT
  • Oaks Park High School, Oaks Lane, Ilford, IG2 7PQ 

The council will also provide dedicated places for pupils with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who have an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP).

These will run between Monday 25 July and Friday 5 August 2022 and be hosted at the following two sites: 

  • Hatton School, Roding Lane South, Woodford, IG8 8EU 
  • Newbridge Upper School, Barley Lane, Goodmayes, IG3 8XS 

Is my child eligible? 

Your child will need to meet both of the following: 

  • Eligible for, and in receipt of, Free School Meals (not including those accessing universal entitlement for Free School Meals unless they also meet the eligibility criteria for FSM) 
  • Are in Reception up to Year 11
