Anyone over 18 can now get vaccinated in Redbridge

Published: 17 June 2021

It is now quicker and easier to get your first or second Covid-19 vaccine if you live or work in Redbridge.

Redbridge Council working locally with NHS partners has created several walk-in clinics where you can get either your first or second dose of the Astra-Zeneca or Pfizer vaccines.

On Saturday (19 June) residents and their family members or those who work in Redbridge and who are aged over 18 can now get their first or second vaccinations against Covid-19 at the Town Hall in Ilford.

Cllr Mark Santos, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health said:

“We are making real progress in Redbridge to offer vaccinations to all our residents and those who work here but we also want to make it easier and quicker.

“So please come along to the Town Hall this Saturday where you can have either your first or second vaccination. You do not need to book an appointment just turn up.

“The more of us that get vaccinated the quicker we can look to getting back to a more normal way of life and move closer towards the freedoms everyone is missing.”

If you want your first or second dose of the vaccine you can come to the Town Hall on Saturday 19 June.

The Ilford Town Hall clinic will be open on Saturday 19 June from 9 am to 8.30 pm for anyone wanting their first or second vaccination.

You do not need to book an appointment – just come along. A queuing system will be in place so please be prepared that you may need to wait for your turn.

If you have had already had your first Pfizer jab you should ideally wait 56 days until the second. So, please only attend for your second jab if your first jab was on or before 24 April 2021.

Redbridge residents who have yet to have their first NHS COVID-19 vaccination can also go to the London Stadium in the Olympic Park in Stratford, London on Saturday 19 June.

Appointments are available from 10 am to 8 pm and are eligible to all residents across north east London who are yet to receive their first dose.
These appointments must be made in advance only so go website London Stadium Vaccination Event for the vaccine and book your slot.

We are also offering Redbridge residents another easy way to get the vaccine and that is by going to our mobile clinic.

The vaccination bus goes to various locations throughout the borough. For more information and the bus schedule timetable go to our website for details:
