Evaluation of books on prescription
The University of Exeter are working with The Reading Agency and library authorities across England to conduct an evaluation of Books on Prescription.
They’re looking to explore the acceptability of the scheme:
- what people liked and disliked
- which books they borrowed
- how they used the book/s
- the benefits of the scheme to the community
- how to improve the scheme for the future
Get involved and find out more about the study and how to contact the researchers.
Other Reading Well lists
Shelf Help is for young people. It lists books recommended by young people and health experts on topics such as ADHD, bullying, self-harm and mood swings.
Mood-boosting Books is a related scheme. It is a national promotion of uplifting titles, including novels, poetry and non-fiction. The books on this list are all recommended by readers and reading groups.
Ask at your local library for a copy of either of these lists.
