Looking for a job can be a job in itself. We are here to help make the whole process easier for you. We can give you impartial information, advice and help you apply for the jobs you want.  Our advisors can support you to improve your future employment prospects and access jobs and skills. 

The Work Redbridge service is open to any Redbridge resident aged 18+ with the right to live and work in the UK.  

Work Redbridge deliver a range of programmes to support residents depending on your current employment status.

If you are eligible for a one to one appointment an advisor will help you to create an individual action plan to start your journey back into work. 

At your first appointment you will need to bring: 

  • Passport/Birth Certificate/Visa if required 
  • Proof of address dated in the last 3 months 
  • Proof of NI number 

You will get information, advice and referrals to local organisations who may be able to help you. All our appointments take place at various venues across Redbridge.

Discretionary Housing Payment 

Did you know that if you receive Housing Benefit or Universal Credit Housing Element, but struggle to meet the shortfall in your rent or have rent arrears, you may be eligible for a Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP).  If you apply for  DHP, we will also consider whether we can help with your Council Tax even if you are already receiving Council Tax Reduction.
