Valentines Park is our premiere award winning park securing the prestigious Green Flag. The park has a diverse tree collection including a 300 year old field maple, ornamental gardens, flowering meadows and a network of accessible paths for you to enjoy. There are two children’s play areas as well as two different cafes with a great selection of food and beverages. The park also features one of the biggest outdoor gyms in London.
Christchurch Green is a large open green space with a newly refurbished children’s play area that is conveniently situated in Wanstead High Street. It’s close to lots of local amenities and places to eat and drink. The medieval church still stands within the grounds of the open space and is still widely attended. This area is very popular especially in the summer where the public enjoy having a picnic on the grass. There is also a festival held on this green once a year, usually in September.
Linkside is always ready to welcome new members: from early years to more mature adults, whether you are a beginner looking for coaching, a social player, or a more experienced player looking for team play. Club sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings, and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Linkside Tennis Club also have a number of teams that play in local and county level matches throughout the year.
The Exchange Ilford is the main retail shopping mall of Ilford, east London. It was owned by The Mall Fund for a period of time but has been sold and changed its name to Exchange Ilford in late 2010 or early 2011. Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, TK Maxx, New Look & River Island.
