We may contact you if you have an outstanding amount on your council tax account. This is to help you avoid further debt and paying additional costs.
You should not rely on these reminders. It’s your responsibility to keep up with payments.
We may contact you using:

- phone call
Text message
Our text messages will be sent by us and will show as LBRedbridge. It’ll show the last four digits of your council tax account number.
There will be a link starting with https://rev.redbridge.gov.uk. This will take you to a verification screen. You’ll need to confirm your postcode to continue.
You’ll then get more information about why we’re contacting you and how to pay your council tax.
This service is confidential. Your mobile number will not be shared with third parties. You’ll not get any other marketing messages to your phone.
Email message
Our email messages will be sent by us and will show as donotrespond@info.redbridge.gov.uk
It’ll show the last four digits of your council tax number.
You’ll then get more information about why we’re contacting you and how to pay your council tax.
Phone call
We may follow up with a phone call if no payment is made.
You’ll have the option to speak to us. We can take payment from you.
You can pay your council tax directly if you’re unsure about a message you’ve received.
Sign up or opt out
If we already have your mobile number, you’ll be signed up for this service automatically.
If we do not have your mobile number or it has changed, you can sign up for council tax messages.
If you would like to opt-out of receiving text messages for council tax, you can complete the text messages opt-out online form.
