In an emergency

If it is an emergency, call 999

While in lockdown or self-isolation, people are likely to be spending more time with perpetrators, potentially escalating the threat of domestic abuse and further restricting their freedom.

In the current climate, it is certainly more challenging for victims who are suffering abuse if they cannot leave the house. If you are concerned about a victim who may be stuck indoors please call on their behalf, or the police if you know they are in immediate danger.

Support for abusers

Reach Out also provides advice and support for adults who are struggling to cope with their behaviour, which may be causing a family member to be harmed or afraid.  These individuals will also be offered an online support programme which is designed to help abusers understand their behaviour and stop abuse from happening at home.
