Child Friendly partners

Our partners in the borough including Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Group (RCCG), the Police, Redbridge Council for Voluntary Service (RCVS) and New City College, all signed up to the Joint Partnership Plan and all support the Child Friendly Redbridge initiative.

We hold two groups with our partners, a steering group and an engagement group.  The work of both groups is reported regularly to the Redbridge Youth Council by our Children’s Participation Officer who sits on both groups.

Child Friendly Redbridge Steering Group

The Child Friendly Redbridge Steering Group meet every six weeks and includes representation from RCCG, the Police, The Safer Transport Police, Council Services, Libraries, the Local Safeguarding Children's Board, RCVS, Mill Grove and Public Health. The purpose of the Steering Group is to work together with all of our partners to co-ordinate the planning and delivery of the Child Friendly Redbridge Programme.

Child Friendly Redbridge Engagement Group

The Child Friendly Redbridge Engagement Group meet every month and include people that work directly with children and young people across all of the partners.

This includes teachers, coaches, youth workers, our children’s participation officers, Redbridge Children & Young People’s Network (RCYPN), members of Healthwatch Redbridge, the Local Safeguarding Children's Board (LSCB), the lead for Family Learning at Redbridge Institute and representatives from our community and voluntary groups.

The purpose of the Engagement Group is to plan, design and support our engagement with children and young people for the Child Friendly Programme and create opportunities for co-design and co-production of that engagement with the children and young people.
