How to pay

Pay by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the quickest and easiest way to pay your Business Rates.

You can pay over 10 or 12 months and can choose which day of the month you pay (1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th or 25th).

To set up your Direct Debit you will need:

  • your Business Rates reference number
  • your bank account number and sort code - you must also be the account holder and authorised to set up new Direct Debits.

If you have a company account which requires more signatories

If you have a company account which requires two or more signatories,  please download a Direct Debit mandate Direct Debit form (PDF 252KB) and return by e-mail, to business.rates@redbridge.gov.uk or, by post to London Borough of Redbridge, Revenues, Benefits and Transactional Centre, 6th Floor, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford Essex IG1 1NN.

How often Business Rates payments can be made

For those customers not paying by Direct Debit payments must be received by the 1st of each month.

Your Business Rates will be split into 10 monthly payments but this can be extended to 12 months if it's easier for you to manage.  If you would like to switch to 12 payments please email business.rates@redbridge.gov.uk
