Ceremonies at Redbridge Town Hall

You can celebrate your special day at Redbridge Town Hall.

Before you can marry or form a civil partnership, you need to give notice.

Rooms at the Town Hall

You can choose from three different rooms, each with its own unique character.

The Elizabeth Suite

A beautiful, contemporary setting for an elegant and memorable ceremony with family and friends.

It's located on the first floor and reached by the Town Hall’s historic staircase, adding a sense of occasion as you arrive. There is no lift access. 

This suite is perfect for a traditional or modern ceremony, with up to 30 guests. This includes children (over two years), photographers and videographers.

The room is available Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 3.30pm. The ceremony will last for 30 minutes.

The Roding Room

The Roding Room offers a contemporary and intimate setting for your special occasion. The room is located on the ground floor of the Town Hall.

You can bring up to four guests. This includes children (over two years), photographers and videographers.

You’ll be able to exchange rings and take photographs.

The room is available Monday from 9am to 3.30pm. The ceremony will last for 30 minutes.

The Register Office

The Register Office is for simple legal ceremonies. It’s ideal if your main event is at another venue that is not licensed for ceremonies.

You’ll only be allowed two guests that will act as your witnesses. You will not be allowed music, readings, personal vows or flowers.

The ceremony will last for 30 minutes.

 

Costs

The cost includes the room and the registrars.

The Elizabeth suite

• Tuesday to Friday - £500 includes one certificate (issued on day of ceremony)

Roding room

• Monday -  £290 includes one certificate (issued after five working days)

The Register Office

• £62 and £12.50 per certificate (issued after five working days) 

You must pay at the time of booking. You can pay with a debit or credit card.

 

Location

Redbridge Town Hall is centrally located with good public transport and road links.

There is limited pay and display parking around Redbridge Town Hall. There is no on-site parking at the venue.

How to book

We recommend you book your notice appointment when booking your ceremony date.

You’ll need:

• you and your partner’s full names
• contact details
• name of the room you would like for your ceremony
• ceremony date and time
• date you gave your notice of marriage or civil partnership 
• details of where you gave your notice of marriage or civil partnership 

What happens next

You’ll receive a confirmation email.  

We’ll call you to let you know if the room you would like your ceremony to be held in is available. This will be within 10 working days. 

You’ll need to pay at this time. You can pay with a debit or credit card.

 

If you need to cancel or change a booking 

Cancel a booking 

You’ll need to contact us.

You must let us know at least 60 days’ before the ceremony date to get a full refund. It can be either you or your partner that tells us.  

Change the date 

You’ll need to contact us.  

You must give us at least 30 days’ notice. You’ll need to pay a £60 fee to change the date.  

It can be either you or your partner that tells us about this change.
