Community Activity Day
We are pleased that Roman Road will be the focus of our first Community Activity Day.
It'll take place on Saturday 21 June 2025 from 9.30am to 1pm between Uphall Road and Fairfield Road.
The road will be closed to traffic during this time. This is so we can bring our teams down, and so you're safe when out and about speaking to our staff and each other.
The Leader of the Council, Cllr Kam Rai and ward councillors along with the council’s Chief Executive and other senior officers will be there.
What will the day involve?
You can do as much or as little as you like on the day. These services will be available to you:
- You'll be able to get a free blood pressure check, or general health check, on the Healthy Redbridge Bus
- You'll be able to join in with planting flowers on your street, to brighten it up. You may receive a plant or two for your own garden, if you would like one
- You'll find out about local activities and community groups you may wish to join
- You'll be able to speak to our benefits team about financial support
- You'll be able to speak to our cleansing team, and help spruce up the street in a litter pick
- You'll be able to speak to Work Redbridge to get advice on CVs, job opportunities locally, and supporting you with your work goals
- You'll find out about volunteering opportunities locally, and what you could do to help support others in Redbridge
There will be additional services there as well.
Pop out, have a cup of tea with us and a chat about what you need to keep your area a clean, green and beautiful place to live, and to help keep yourself and your neighbours healthy and happy.
