Who we are and what we do

Parking Management is responsible for civil parking and moving traffic enforcement in the London Borough of Redbridge. It is also responsible for the setting of charges for on and off-street designated parking spaces and parking permits, as well as the management and administration of these assets.

Why we need your information and how we use it

In accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the London Local Authorities Act 2003 we have a statutory duty to administer and pursue the recovery of outstanding penalty charge notices in relation to the obstruction of parking regulation. The information is recorded by a Civil Enforcement Officer or captured by CCTV using mobile or static devices. We also use your information for the purpose of administrating parking permits and to verify that you live in one of our controlled parking zones. This information is provided consensually and so is not mandated by legislation.

What type of information is collected from you

In order to administer our services we collect the following information from you:

  • name
  • vehicle registration
  • proof of vehicle ownership
  • proof of residency
  • proof of business
  • CCTV images of your vehicle and person

Who your information may be shared with (internally and externally)

We share information related to parking permits with internal departments such as the disabled parking badge/bays team and/or the Council Tax Department for the prevention and detection of fraud.

We share your information related to a Penalty Charge Notices with the DVLA to obtain your details to enable us to send you statutory notices associated with the charge.

We also share your information with the London Tribunals and our Enforcement Contractors (Confero Collections, Newlyns Plc and Equita Ltd) to comply with the appeals procedure and the recovery of outstanding debts.

How long we keep your information

Your information will be retained for 3 years following the completion of processing after which time it will be destroyed.
