Would you like to be part of the London Youth games 2019?

London Youth Games competitions will take place throughout the year strating with Cross Country in November with the majority of events taking place on weekends in May and June with the finals in early July. The games are free and open to all young people, aged between 7 and 18, living in or going to school in Redbridge, who are in the correct school year and play regularly for their school or a local club.

Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure would like to thank all those that managed teams and represented Redbridge at the 2018 London Youth Games. We would like to thank all volunteers, team managers, coaches, clubs, schools and participants that ensured we had over 300 young people represent Redbridge.

Redbridge finished in fifth position this year, over 370 young people represented the London Borough of Redbridge in 42 out of the 48 sports available and finished with 27 top 10 places, 14 of which were top 5. The Redbridge Team won 1st place in Badminton & tennis with 2nd place in Indoor Rowing and 3rd places in Rowing, Girls Handball, Netball & Girls Cricket. Redbridge also entered 3 demonstration sports which this year were non-scoring and came away with Silver Under U19s netball and Bronzes in the Boys & Girls U12s Hockey

Virgin London Mini Marathon

11 to 17 year olds can trial to become part of the Redbridge Team for Virgin London Mini Marathon, to qualify you need to complete a 5km Park run which take place on Saturday 9am at Valentines park, Wanstead Flat and other locations around the country.
