Sixty three Penalties issued for fly-tips

Published: 20 September 2017

The Council’s enforcement team has issued over 60 penalty notices for fly-tipping in the Borough in the last month.

The fly-tippers were identified either through eagle-eyed CCTV operators who monitor the Borough and can identify culprits, enforcement officers who look through the rubbish to find evidence of who has left it there, or intelligence from residents.

Each penalty has the potential to raise £400 which will be used to further enforce anti-fly-tipping measures, or keep the Borough clean.

If you spot a fly-tip or rubbish please report it here www.redbridge.gov.uk/report-it. We rely on residents letting us know what they’ve spotted so enforcement and cleansing teams can be directed to investigate it then clear it up.
