New Ilford Public Space Protection Order – We want to hear your views

Published: 16 July 2020

We are consulting with the local community on proposals for a new Ilford Public Space Protection Order (PSPO), and want to hear your thoughts.

The proposed three-year Ilford PSPO would cover the Town Centre, Valentines, Loxford and Clementswood wards, and will give Redbridge enforcement officers powers to deal with low level offences such as spitting and urination in a public space.

The PSPO would also address street gambling and street gaming – a prohibition specifically included in the proposal to address local concerns and complaints.

If you live in Redbridge, own or run a business locally, or even just visit often please let us know your views on the proposed PSPO by leaving feedback at:

The public consultation closes on Monday August 10.

Redbridge Enforcement Officers are committed to working with partners and support agencies in the borough to engage, support and keep safe any vulnerable communities or people, including rough sleepers, they come in contact with.
