Redbridge Local Plan Update

Published: 30 January 2018

The Redbridge Local Plan was examined in June and July 2017 and we have now received the Inspector’s Report. The report concludes that the Plan provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the Borough up to 2030.

The Local Plan will be formally adopted at Full Council on Thursday 15 March 2018.

This represents the final stage in getting an up-to-date planning strategy, in full accordance with both national and regional planning policy, in place.

The Plan will respond to the significant planning changes which the Borough faces and will also implement the Council’s strategic priorities for regeneration and growth. It has been shaped by ongoing consultation and engagement and has sought to respond to stakeholders views throughout, whilst also balancing a number of competing development priorities.
