Play street application form

Before completing this application form please visit the play streets web page. It is important that you understand how road closures work, the health and safety measures that need to be taken as well as the resident consultation required to ensure the successful completion of this application and success of your play street.

If you aim to hold your play street from:

  • 1 March to 31 May onwards the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 February
  • 1 June to 31 August onwards the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 May
  • 1 September to 30 November onwards the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 August
  • 1 December to 28 February onwards the deadline for us to receive the application is 1 November
If yes, you will need to send us a plan showing the exact extent of the closure and an alternative route for traffic. Please note that if your road is on a bus route or a major traffic route (like Seven Kings High Road or Hermon Hill) then we will not be able to recommend that it is closed. You can find a list of
We will consult with the Emergency Services on your behalf assuming we have no objection ourselves to your proposal.


If yes, can you say what you will be doing? If no, you can speak to us or look at the streets Alive website (www.streetparty.org.uk) which may be able to help you with advice.
Please note that we strongly advise that you only include children from the participating or neighbouring streets to participate.
