Hainault Forest

Hainault Forest  is a large park with woodlands and a variety of activities to take part in. 

 

Events and Activities

We have events taking place throughout the year including guided walks, festivals and Woodland Trust events.

We also run regular activities such as Nordic walking.

 

Boating lake

You can hire a boat to take out on the lake and get up close and personal with the wildlife and enjoy great views of the park.

Foxburrows Farm 

Customer Notice: The farm is closed until further notice (updated 8 July).  Our farm within the park keeps a whole range of animals for you to come and visit for free, including farm animals, meerkats, owls and exotic birds. Check the board on arrival to see which animals are available for that day. Open 7 days a week until 5pm during the summer months and 3pm during the winter months. Free entry.

Café

Global café is located within the park and has a great selection of food and beverages. If you would like more information about the café such as opening times or what they have to offer, please contact them directly on 020 8500 0935.

Events

Our parks and outdoor spaces including park buildings are available to hire for large or small events.

Training businesses

If you would like to use the park for training businesses such as bootcamps, personal training or sports coaching you will need to apply for a permit. For prices and more information, please contact parks and open spaces on 020 8708 3141 (open 5 days a week from 8am to 5pm)

To apply for a permit, please complete an application form (PDF 54KB)  and return it to the address given on the form.

Parking

There is no allocated parking for coaches. If you wish to bring a coach party to Hainault you will need to notify the park in advance by emailing hainaultforestcountrypark@visionrcl.org.uk

The Hainault Forest restoration project will be looking to bring back a natural and wild ancient landscape, restoring the Forest to a time prior to deforestation in the 19th century and helping it become a premier destination in the South East.
