Spark Lab

Ilford is growing and we are working to ensure that our existing residents, workers and visitors enjoy all the benefits of investment and growth. We are envisaging a new ‘Cultural Quarter’ at the heart of Ilford Town Centre bringing all-new civic, leisure and community spaces and services to support the area and our communities.

Our next step in creating the Ilford Cultural Quarter is through the ‘Spark Lab’, a GLA Good Growth Fund (GGF) bringing worthwhile ‘meanwhile’ uses to a vacant building, greening the high street, creating art interventions and murals to improve safety and security and promote fun activities and attractions in Ilford Town Centre.

The Spark Lab forms part of this wider vision for Ilford, and will support small-scale interventions, including public art and greening, bringing vitality to Ilford high street. Find out more about Spark Lab.
