Foxburrows Farm opens in Hainault Forest
We are thrilled to learn that Fuxborrows Farm is now open, thanks to funding from Redbridge Council, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Mayor of London.
The farm has some welcomed new additions, including sheep, pigs and goats, joining the existing family of shetland ponies, alpacas, geese, ducks, peafowl and rabbits, and the list is expected to grow in the upcoming months!
Fuxburrows farm has undergone several improvements, such as a new display farm and animal shelters, accessible pathways, convenient handwashing facilities, family-friendly restrooms and a brand new public space with seating and views of the ancient forest.
The farm is nearest the second car park, adjacent to the new outdoor adventure play area and Woodland Trust Visitor Centre.
Admission to the farm is free, although we ask everyone to make a small minimum donation of £1 per child and £2 per adult to support the ongoing day-to-day costs of running the farm.
