New National Restrictions 5 November – 2 December

As announced by the Prime Minister at the weekend, from Thursday 5 November everyone in Redbridge needs to stay at home.

Everyone who lives in Redbridge should only leave their home for a limited set of reasons. These include:

  • for education
  • for work, if you cannot work from home
  • for exercise and recreation outdoors, with your household, support bubble or on your own with one person from another household
  • for all medical reasons, appointments or to escape injury or harm
  • to shop for food and essentials
  • to provide care for vulnerable people, or as a volunteer

All non-essential shops, leisure and entertainment venues will be closed. Pubs, bars and restaurants must also close, except to provide takeaway and delivery services.

Early years settings, schools, colleges and universities will stay open. It remains very important for children and young people to attend places of learning to support their wellbeing and education, as well as to help working parents and guardians.
