LOCAL COVID ALERT LEVEL HIGH. Find out what the new rules mean for you.

London moving from COVID Tier 1 to Tier 2

London moves from Tier 1 COVID (MEDIUM) restrictions to Tier 2 COVID (HIGH) restrictions.

COVID-19 cases are increasing rapidly throughout London and as a result, the government moved London and Essex to Tier 2 COVID (HIGH) restrictions as of Friday 16 October.

The Tiers are the different levels of restrictions that people who live in Redbridge must adhere to due to COVID-19.

The main change under Tier 2 is that residents must not meet socially with friends and family indoors in any setting unless we live with them or have formed a support bubble with them. Indoor settings include private homes and any other indoor venues such as pubs and restaurants.

Another key change is for residents to reduce the number of journeys they make where possible.
