Care home support tracking
Councils have been allocated an Infection Control Fund for adult social care to support the implementation of infection control measures in the care home support package, particularly restricting movement of workers between different care settings and full payment for staff who are required to self-isolate.
Government have stated they will not ask for this money back if it has been spent within the guidelines. We ask care homes to track and report their spend under this fund. This allows us to report on how this money has been passed to providers and how it has been spent, giving us and care home providers confidence that we should not be asked to repay the fund.
We will make a final declaration on how care homes have spent the money by 4 September 2020 ready for our return to Government by the 23 September 2020.

We are required to publish up to date information on spend against the Infection Control Fund on our website, so we can demonstrate how the public investment is supporting front-line social care services.

Care home support letter and tracker
We were previously asked to publish a care home support cover letter to explain what we were doing to support care homes during the COVID-19 crisis.
This letter provides a summary of the London Borough of Redbridge (LBR) and health partner responses to the crisis in the borough. The letter provides reassurance that we are supporting our care homes appropriately. Accompanying this letter is the completed Care Home Support template for Redbridge.
