Ilford Business Improvement District (BID)

Ilford BID is the largest bid in the borough, achieving status in 2009 and capturing just under 400 businesses in the town centre. The BID has invested in a range of projects completed including setting up the online website, a state of the art digital radio security system and a dedicated town centre police team.

Hainault Business Improvement District (BID)

Hainault BID is the second BID in the borough, achieving BID status in 2006 and capturing around 150 businesses in an industrial area, ranging from large international companies through to smaller businesses.

The BID has levered in around £750k delivering a range of improvements such as:

  • Security fencing
  • A new CCTV scheme
  • Automatic number plate recognition at entrances and exits 
  • Free cycling projects
  • Over 150 companies trading here, ranging from large international companies through to smaller businesses
  • Collaboration with the local community giving the local High School pupils the opportunity to work with business leaders (e.g. the Hainault Forest High School)
