Providing information by email

Because of social distancing measures, we are asking for supporting evidence to be provided by email.

Attaching your evidence

If you have your documents on email

  • Access your email account
  • Open the email message with your documents that you want to forward
  • In the menu bar, usually found at the top of your email message window, select the forward option
  • When the new email message window opens, enter housing.benefits@redbridge.gov.uk in the To: field.
  • In the subject: field, replace the contents with your name and case reference
  • Press send

If your documents are on paper

  • Take a clear, well-lit photo of your document on your phone
  • Go to your photo gallery on your phone and select the photo of your evidence
  • When viewing the picture, tap the share icon (this is usually at the bottom of your phone screen)
  • Select your mail app
  • When the email message opens, enter housing.benefits@redbridge.gov.uk in the To: field.
  • In the subject: field, replace the contents with your name and case reference
  • Press send
