Our next Street Lighting replacement programme be will commencing August 2007 for a period of 3 months.

The works will comprise of:

  • Installation of new lighting columns, lanterns and associated components.
  • Trenching in the footway to connect the new lighting units to EDF Energy network and disconnect the existing lighting units.
  • Removal of redundant lighting columns and permanent reinstatement of the footway

The new installation will require lighting columns to be positioned in locations different to those of the existing lighting columns to meet with current design criteria.  The working times will be 8.00am to 5.30pm

The works will be carried out in a manner to cause the minimum disruption and inconvenience to residents and the public.
