General Information

All gritting of roads and footpaths is reviewed and approved by Members of the Council (Councillors).

Roads are gritted on a priority basis, for example major roads and local traffic movement.

Priority footpaths include locations near schools, hospital, railway stations, pedestrian subways and bridges.

A schedule of roads currently approved for gritting is provided.
