Community Care helperThe Redbridge and Waltham Forest Learning Disability Partnership (LDP)  provide health and social care services for people with a learning disability and their carers.

The vision for the partnership is to become a centre of excellence for specialist learning disability services. Making best use of both human and financial resources, our vision is based on principles embodied in the Government White Paper 'Valuing People': we seek to place service users and carers at the centre of our services and planning.

The partnership includes:

  • health and social care teams - assessment, care management, psychiatry, nursing, psychology, speech and language therapy occupational therapy, physiotherapy and creative therapy
  • a range of day opportunities, both centre and community based
  • short breaks provided in residential and nursing homes
  • adult family placements
  • residential care
  • a range of supported living situations, and support provided to people in their own homes.
