FAQ for Joint Strategic Needs Assessment | Contact for Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

Smiling childRedbridge council and the National Health Service NHS Primary Care Trusts have a new statutory responsibility to carry out joint strategic needs assessment. This is required by the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007.

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment in partnership with the local community, identifies priorities for action that will improve the health and wellbeing of the population of Redbridge. The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment will improve access to data about the needs of the population by those who, now and in the future, plan and deliver services.

What will a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment produce and how will it be used?

Our Joint Strategic Needs Assessment will identify key areas for improvement in health and wellbeing.  It will also help our social care and health services meet the needs of people in Redbridge.

Timescale

The process of joint strategic needs assessment for Redbridge will be fully in place by 1 April 2008.
