FAQ for The work and progress of Families Information Direct | Contact for The work and progress of Families Information Direct

The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) funds all Local Authorities to make a Family Information Service available in their area. There are 145 services operating in England, providing parents with information about the services that are available to support them as they bring up their children. In Redbridge the service is called Families Information Direct or FiND.

Family information services provide information, advice and guidance on a wide range of issues and on services, which parents may need to support their children through to their 20th birthday. The DCSF set out standards that they expect Family Information Services to achieve and from April 2008 they expect Information Services to expand the range of information that they have available for families.

If you are interested in this you can find more information on the Sure Start website.

FiND have produced a Statement of Service (570KB) that explains what we provide and what our customers can expect. We also write a Quarterly Report describing the work that we have been undertaking across the year.

Quarterly Report July to September 2007 (556KB)

Quarterly Report October to December 2007 (118KB)

Quarterly Report January to March 2008 (112KB)
